The Montville Town Council will hold a public hearing at Montville Town Hall, Council Chambers, 310 Norwich-New London Tpke, Uncasville, CT, on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. to receive public comment and questions regarding the proposed resolution entitled:
“RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPROPRIATION OF $1,500,000 FOR THE PRESERVATION OF BOND PROPERTY PROJECT AND THE FINANCING OF SAID APPROPRIATION BY THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE TOWN AND NOTES IN ANTICIPATION OF SUCH BONDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,500,000 THEREFOR”

NOTICE OF TOWN MEETING
Pursuant to the Town Charter of the Town of Montville and the Connecticut General Statutes, notice is hereby given to the electors and eligible taxpayers of the Town of Montville qualified to vote that a Town Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. to be held at the Montville High School Auditorium, 800 Old Colchester Road, Oakdale, CT 06370, for the purpose of approving or disapproving the following question:
Shall the resolution entitled, “RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPROPRIATION OF $1,500,000 FOR THE PRESERVATION OF BOND PROPERTY PROJECT AND THE FINANCING OF SAID APPROPRIATION BY THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE TOWN AND NOTES IN ANTICIPATION OF SUCH BONDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,500,000 THEREFOR” be approved? Yes ___ No ___
Voters may attend the meeting any time between the hours of 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and are not required to attend the entire meeting.

Any person who is an elector in the Town of Montville or qualified to vote by owning property assessed by the Town of Montville on the Grand List of October 1, 2024 of not less than One Thousand Dollar’s ($1,000) shall be eligible to vote.
This vote will be held in person only on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Montville High School, absentee ballots are not available for Town Meetings.
